Ah, New England. You know you love it. …Wait, I guess this internet thing is available everywhere. Well, if you live in New England, you know you love it. This week, we asked for your favorite little facts that are so typical of the area. As always, you responded in force…although the promise of a $25 gift certificate to H20 in Newport might have had something to do with it. Well, let’s not dwell on motivation. You all responded, that’s the imporant part.
Runners-Up
3) Amanda says one stereotype that holds true about New England is “finding out your fiance is your grandfather’s sister’s stepchild…when you’re on the alter.” Wait. WTF? Has this happened to you? This one was too bizarre not to mention.
2) Sean Smith says “Rhode Islanders think a trip that takes more than 20 minutes is a long trip.” Makes sense to me. What, is that weird or something?
And, without further ado…
This week’s winner
1) Sometimes the simplest answers are the best ones. Stat says, “If you’ve worn shorts and a parka at the same time, you live in New England.” I’ve done this! And Stat and I are not the only ones. Chris and Rick also made reference to our weird weather habits, but Stat was the first, so he gets the props for this answer.
Congratulations, Stat!! We’ll be emailing you shortly with info on how to pick up your H20 gift certificate.
For everyone else, thank you so much for playing, and we’ll see you on Monday with a new question!
