Lake began his career in 1944, and spent more than 60 years at Southern New England’s WJAR, before retiring three years ago.
He was recognized in 2004 with induction to the New England Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences’ Gold Circle, for his “significant and long-term influence upon the broadcast industry.” [turnto10.com]
