Governor Carcieri has chosen state budget officer Rosemary Booth Gallogly as his new director of administration. According to the Projo, Gallogly will also double as director of the state’s Department of Revenue. Carcieri has also confirmed plans to promote Gallogly’s chief deputy, Thomas Mullaney, to state budget officer.

More protections are on the way for victims of sexual assault in Massachusetts. Governor Deval Patrick today is set to sign a sexual assault bill into law.
