The Rhode Island state House is gearing up for new leadership. Majority Leader Gordon Fox has picked his leadership team as he campaigns to succeed Speaker William Murphy, who’s stepping down in January. Fox says State Reps Nicholas Matiello of Cranston and J. Patrick O’Neil of Pawtucket have agreed to sign on as his Majority Leader and Whip. Fox has two rivals for the seat, but they admit he likely has the votes to win.
