Local college student’s body pulled from river

Providence police say they’re investigating the death of a college student from Massachusetts whose body was pulled from a river this week.

Gregory Hart, a student at Umass Amherst, was last seen early Sunday morning in Providence, where he and his friends had visited a nightclub.

His body was pulled from the Woonasquatucket River in North Providence yesterday afternoon. Hart’s mother says she suspects foul play, but police are still investigating. He was 23 and from Dedham, Mass.

  1. I believe that he got drunk — St. Patrick’s day coming up, and all….
We had a LOT of rain; we had flooding.
Perhaps the young man went to urinate, or was just walking in the wrong spot. He fell in the river, and he drowned
    That’s the whole story!
Stop looking for someone else to blame!

    • your a real piece of work. Im sure you have no one in your life because your a fat miserable person. He was 23 years old and he was found in the river a mile and half away from the bar jackass. It was pouring out and there is no reasonable explanation why he would have gone a mile and half out of the way into an industrial area of your shitty town providence. The bar is owned by police officers the same police officers that didn’t do anything to help. Our friends and family found him not your corrupt system there. I hope someday you have a tragedy like this in your life so someone can tell you that your son/brother/sister/cousin is a drunk and he slipped and took when taking a piss. He was a certified scuba diver who was never a drinker. About St. Patricks day maybe your a booze bag with out a job but he had a white collar job and did not have st patricks day off. So go re evaluate your life instead of criticizing others dumbass
