So you know which ex-politician/cable news pundit I just haven’t seen enough recently? That’s right: Sarah Palin. Apparently, Discovery Channel felt the same way, and they’ve recently picked up a new reality show called “Sarah Palin’s Alaska”.

So technically the show is about Alaska, and Sarah Palin’s just the “guide”, showing off the state’s mountains, streams, and whatever else it is that they have up there. Still, though, I can see the promos now. “Tune in at 7 for a brand new episode of Life, and soak in the majesty of the American Northwest. Then, at 8, Sarah Palin shoots a moose.”

Discovery has reportedly paid $1 million per episode for the show, which is an unheard of amount for a new reality series, but they’re betting that Palin will draw in enough hunters/teabaggers/curious onlookers to make it work.
