Former Secretary of State Colin Powell hesitates on endorsing President Obama. Back in 2008, Powell threw his support behind Obama, calling him “a transformational figure.” Regarding President Obama’s first term in office, Mr. Powell credits the President with stabilizing the financial system and fixing the auto industry. But, Powell criticizes the President for not focusing enough on the economy. The former Secretary of State also added that he’s still considering an endorsement for Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney. Powell is a retired four-star general and served as Secretary of State under President George W. Bush.
