Brown University takes steps to distance itself from Joe Paterno.

The Ivy League school has removed Paterno’s name from a student-athlete award. It’s also considering whether or not to remove him form the Brown Athletic Hall of Fame. The university says it’s permanently removed his name from an award for outstanding freshman male athlete. The school’s decisions come after a report revealed that the late Penn State football coach concealed child sex abuse by assistant coach Jerry Sandusky.
