At a rally in Virginia Beach, Virginia, the President accused the Republicans for ‘not being serious’ about reducing the deficit. President Obama also repeated his call for extending the Bush-era tax breaks for the poor and middle class while letting the cuts expire for the top 2% of Americans. Unlike the President, Republicans insist on extending the tax breaks for the wealthy. The GOP calls Obama’s plan a massive tax that’ll hit small businesses. Mr. Obama’s visit to Virginia Beach kicks off two days of campaigning in that state, which he won four years ago, making him the first Democratic presidential candidate to do so since President Johnson.
