Rhode Island has received the rest of its federal stimulus funds for energy projects.  The state received $11 million, the second half of $23 million previously scheduled for allocation to the Ocean State.

A body believed to be a missing Glocester police officer was found late Monday afternoon by two male hikers near a trail on the Burrillville side of the Pulaski Recreation Area.

The powerful Senate Finance Committee has approved a sweeping healthcare reform bill.  The vote was 14-9.
One Republican, Maine’s Olympia Snowe, voted for the bill.

First round of H1N1 vaccine arrives in RI

The first batch of H1N1 vaccine arrived in Rhode Island yesterday.  The 12,000 doses account for about two-percent of the 600,000  doses the state will be getting and will be distributed to about 200 pediatricians throughout the state.
